... is where Sunny Wong writes about nothing in particular and everything in general.

3rd day into Chinese New Year.

First thing first, great thanks to Kian Yong for helping complete parts of a project I was(and still am?) having difficulties with. It was the first time he was so confident over something and I hope he really enjoyed doing what he had helped me with as much as I enjoyed letting him helped me. (Oh well.)

At any rate, today I went to his house with Jun Yaik to do house visiting, only to find out from his mother that the 3rd day isn’t really a good day anyone would wanna do any visitings as it was thought to bring unhappiness between the hosts and the guests. But oh well, we’d already got the mandarin oranges from the super-market and so we still did so without caring more.

But instead of bringing unhappiness, something happened on the way to KY’s house. Something really unpleasant, at least to the victim who was me.

And so we stepped into the lift to KY’s house unit. Before the lift actually arrived at the first floorth, I actually beckoned them to take the stairs because the lift took so long to reach our floor. But at las, the lift eventually opened up its gate and welcomed us. And no thanks to JY, if he weren’t that greedy, maybe I wouldn’t be victimised.

He was packing the mandarin oranges so that I could have 2 and he the other 2, leaving the extra one in the plastic bag. No one knew what happened, but he tried to hold the 2 oranges supported by his left arm while he tried to put the additional one back into the bag. Or something else, but what happened next wasn’t much of a surprise if you saw how he was handling the oranges. What was surprising was what happened after one of the orange dropped onto the lift floor rolling into the corner of the lift where the lift buttons were.

Now if you live in Singapore, you would know that that area is a popular area for different kinds of liquids, eg. spits and urine. So the orange rolled there. Yes. Into some patches of liquids I didn’t think much of. So JY went ahead to pick it up, and amazingly managed to escape touching any unwelcomed liquid on it. Being the usual helpful me, I went ahead and helped him take it. So at this time, he was holding the top part of the orange, while the downside of it that touched the liquid was on my palm. Get the story yet?

Then the uncle beside us said, “that is phlegm.” And of all times, something dripped from the orange. Guess what? Spit on my finger, yup. And at that moment, my face went from ^_^ to -_____-. I would probably had felt better if that uncle didn’t mention anything about it being phlegm. And my 2 friends just kept laughing. But they did offer some tissue for relief after laughing real hard.

Poor me.

And I managed to wash my hand with dettol soap over and over again at KY’s house. I guess it just didn’t feel good. Hey, you should try it and start telling me about it if you think I was being too sensitive! You can borrow my phlegm for a start if you want to know.

All right, enough of whining. But I managed to try playing 02Jam with a keyboard that allowed pressing 7 keys at once. What can I say? Mine at home can only do 3 at a time. And not forgetting that I played NFSU with a steering wheel set. Total coolness. Much to get used to though.

Great day with many new experiences, and a semi-completed project that I could have never manage on myself.

Oh yeah.
